Lakes Entrance
Cunninghame Arm and North Arm for bream biting on prawn. Surf beaches have salmon and tailor. Offshore at Six Mile Reef and The Front Reef are landing gummies and flathead.
Lake Tyers
Bream around the 32cm mark can be found in the main lake. Burnt Bridge and the shallow banks have smaller bream taking prawn. Surf beaches for tailor and salmon..
Mitchell River
The Grassy Banks to the river mouth for bream, Lake King and Lake Victoria have tailor chasing metal lures. Garfish can be found in the backwater and near the Highway Bridge.
Tambo River
Bennett’s Brook, The Poplars and Howlett’s Flat are the best spots for bream. Give the Three Gum’s, The Snag’s and the Tambo Light a go for bream, mullet and tailor.
Nicholson
Bream are active at the Railway and Highway bridges, best results with drifting prawn. Also try The Second Fence all the way to the river mouth with soft plastics.
Metung
Whiting and garfish are to be had around the back beach, for flathead try using prawn and pipis as preferred baits.
Paynesville
Bream can be found near the town jetties, docks and where the Raymond Island Ferry operates. Tailor are active chasing silver lures and wobblers
Holland's Landing
For bream give The Straits, The Wood Pile, Hollands Landing, Griffin’s Point and Lake Victoria a go.
Marlo
There are still plenty of good-sized fish being caught in the lake system. On the incoming tide, surf beaches are also producing good sized salmon and tailor.
Bemm River
The entrance is still open, bream and flathead are in the lake biting on plastics and prawn. Tailor are in the channel, best results using metal lures.
Tamboon Inlet
Try the river and lake for bream with plastics and prawn. Surf beaches are landing salmon and tailor preferred baits being pilchards and poppers.
Mallacoota
Gabo Island for gummies, the top and bottom lakes have bream and flathead taking fresh prawn and soft plastics.
Omeo High Country
All the rivers in the High Country are producing good sized trout, best results using drifting earth worm or gold/silver spinners and wobblers.
