Look what's happening during Summer in East Gippsland

Embrace the outdoors and head outside to spot some of East Gippsland's wildlife in action.

Head to Raymond Island Koala Trail to find as many Koalas as possible perched high in the treetops above. If you veer off-track you might even be lucky enough to catch the resident Kangaroos in their natural habitat.

Take to the water to spot the local Seals colonies and the rare Burrunan Dolphin species in the Gippsland Lakes System. If you are keen to learn more about the wildlife that calls the Gippsland Lakes home, join Lonsdale Eco Cruise onboard their daily cruises which leave from Lakes Entrance. Due to Covid restrictions, the crew is able to accommodate just 10 guests per tour, be sure to book in advance.

Put your walking boots on and learn about the Australian Environment by joining a Victoria Park Ranger on the Junior Ranger program. The experiences are taking place throughout the school holidays at Mitchell River Silt Jetties, Cape Conran and many more East Gippsland locations. Booking is essential due to restrictions on group sizes.
