East Gippsland acknowledges the Gunaikurnai, Monero and the Bidawel people as the Traditional Custodians of the land that encompasses East Gippsland Shire. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in East Gippsland, their Elders past and present.

Coast and enjoy the esplanade

This is a great way to introduce yourself to Lakes Entrance. It is an easy, family friendly bike ride along flat, paved pathways and alluring views over the waterways. Fishing trawlers line the foreshore esplanade, and if you time it right you may find yourself lining up to purchase today's catch direct from the trawler. Continuing along, you will find yourself at the iconic footbridge, take a stroll to the oceanside to meet the Ninety Mile Beach
