Lakes Entrance - The Footbridge and Bullock Island are producing good numbers of whiting, trevally, pinkies, and the odd kingfish, best results with pipis, fresh prawn, metal slugs, soft plastic grubs and paddle tails, casting these into the deeper channels. Whiting are around Nyerimilang and Flannigan Island, responding to soft lures paired with a red beard for some flash. Surf beaches: salmon, tailor, and gummy shark are chasing squid strips and blue bait, early mornings are best. Tuna are on the move.

Lake Tyers - Nice sized flathead, some over 50cm are being caught in the system, using soft plastics and lures.

Mitchell River - Bream are scattered in the backwaters, flathead, bream and perch are around the Butterfactory, bream and flathead can also be found at the Grassy Banks. The river mouth has taylor and the Silt Jetties for mullet. Best baits are live prawn and shrimp, local prawn and for flathead blue bait.

Tambo River - The river mouth and around The Snags are having ok results. Fishing has been reported as a “bit slow” though.

Nicholson River - The river mouth and down to the Swimming Hole is on fire for bream, with the preferred baits being local prawn, shrimp and cut crab.

Metung - Bream and flathead are biting on live shrimp,frozen prawn and hard bodied lures. Along the sea wall is producing great results.

Paynesville/Holland’s Landing - Bream are liking live shrimp with flathead preferring soft plastics. Around Hollands Landing and into Tom’s Creek are producing niced sized bream.

Marlo - Estuary perch, are biting on shiny shallow divers around timbers and under jetties.

Bemm River - The lake has opened up with decent sized bream and Silver trevally around the river entrance and in the channel, perch can be found in the river.

Tamboon Inlet - The lake is open.

Mallacoota - Mulloway are in the system. In the lake, especially around the shallows and drop offs, using hardbodies and soft plastics are having great results with bream and flathead.

High Country - No report.
