Lakes Entrance 

Bream can be found in the upper reaches of the North Arm, trevally and tailor are in Cunninghame Arm biting on pilchards and blue bait. Eastern Beach and Bunga for salmon using metal lures, blue bait, and pilchards. Offshore, at Six Mile Reef morwong, pinkies, flathead are being landed with gummies closer to the beach.

Lake Tyers

Water temp is sitting around 11⁰. Bream are in the main lake, Reedy Track and Blackfellows Arm ranging from 38 to 42 cms. Surf beaches for salmon on pilchards, blue bait and poppers.

Mitchell River

There is some fresh water entering the system, so for bream try the river mouth and Eagle Point using soft shell, cut crab, spider crab and soft plastics.

Tambo River

For bream give the Three Gums, the Poplars, Powerlines, Lucerne Paddock and up to Log Hole a go, preferred baits being cut crab, spider crab, soft shell and plastics.

Nicholson

Between the Two Bridges, around the boat ramp, and heading down to the river mouth are the best spots for bream, with spider crab, soft shell, cut crab, worm and prawn.

Metung

Metung Wharf, smaller structures and where there are weed beds are good places to try for bream, trevally, and flathead. Also give Chinamans Creek and Sandy Beach a look.

Paynesville

Town jetties for bream, Lake King has tailor chasing lures. The mouth of the Tambo River also has bream, best baits being plastics, cut crab, spider crab and soft shell.

Holland's Landing

McLennan Strait, Seacombe Landing, the Wood Pile, Hollands Landing, Griffin Point and Tom’s Creek for bream and flathead with soft shell, plastics, cut crab and spider crab.

Marlo

The Snowy River has bream and luderick, best results using sandworm. Surf beaches on the incoming tide for salmon and tailor on blue bait, lures, and pilchards.

Bemm River

The lake and in the river for bream, using plastics and hard body lures. The channel has good sized salmon biting on metal lures.

Tamboon Inlet

Use cut crab and prawn baits in the lake for bream. Trevally are taking pilchards and the channel has salmon biting on prawn. Also give the Western side a try.

Mallacoota

Bream are out and about taking pilchards and poppers. Surf beaches for salmon, offshore for pinkies and flathead, gummies are closer to the beach.

Omeo High Country

Closed Season.
