Lakes Entrance 

The Footbridge is producing whiting, snapper and trevally, surf beaches for salmon, tailor, and trevally. Gummy sharks are also active offshore at the Pipeline and Six Mile Reef, closer to the beach you can get a good mixed bag including gummy and flathead.

Lake Tyers

The Power Lines and around from Mill Point, and The Channel Markers are good for bream and flathead, best results using local prawn, plastics and try pilchards. Salmon, tailor, flathead and gummy sharks are being caught off the surf beach.

Mitchell River

Eagle Point, Grassy Banks and to the river mouth are producing bream. Lake King for tailor on metal lures, Picnic Point and head to Lindenow for bream and bass on usual baits.

Tambo River

From the Power Lines and Punt House Point to the river mouth for bream, best baits are soft shell prawn and cut crab.

Nicholson

The Reeds and between the Two Bridges are the best for bream on local prawn and soft plastics, also try the 2nd Fence and Thumb Point.

Metung

Whiting are being caught at the back beach and flat head are about at Silver Shot Jetties.

Paynesville

Bream and tailor are in The Straits, also try the back side of Raymond Island, taking soft shell prawn and cut crab, try metal lures for tailor.

Holland's Landing

Try Lake Wellington for bream using squidgy wriggles, the Wood Pile, Griffin Point and Red Bluff is also worth a look.

Marlo

Offshore for a mixed a bag, salmon, and tailor on incoming tide using metal lures, plenty of perch, luderick, and big flathead. The surf beach for salmon, tailor, and a few gummy sharks.

Bemm River

Flathead are actively taking metal lures, bream are in the lake taking local prawn, surf beaches for salmon and tailor.

Tamboon Inlet

The river for bream using soft shell and cut crab. There are some tailor about. Try Aeroplane Rocks for mullet, luderick and flathead, surf beach for tailor and salmon.

Mallacoota

The top of the Genoa River and Bull Ring for bream and flathead. The Bottom Lake town jetties for a mixed bag, Harrison’s Channel is also worth a shot. Offshore for a mixed bag.

Omeo High Country

Fishing in the high country is producing good fish, best results using metal lures, drifting earth worm and fly patience for best results.
