The Paynesville Classic Boat Rally and Maritime Festival offers a weekend of maritime marvels for all ages. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Gippsland Lakes, this free family event promises a celebration of maritime history and excitement.

Highlights include a tall ship, the Coral Trekker, leading a Grand Parade of hundreds of classic boats big and small, through McMillan Strait, and later a breathtaking Sail Past of classic yachts. Other events include the strategic Bowie Medling Bang and Return fishing boat event and classic speedboat and dinghy events. The St Ayles Skiffs Steamers Run allows you to meet the rowers at the end of their impressive journey from Sale to Lakes Entrance.

Explore Dragon Boats and demonstrations from DA Gippsland Dragons and Kingfisher Dragon Boat Club. Marvel at classic dinghies and witness a showcase of power speed boats. Onshore, enjoy live music, buskers, sea shanties, and witness the restoration of the old flounder boat. Experience precision with model radio-controlled boats and don't miss the Quick and Dirty Boat Building Competition.

Engaging exhibits include the Marine Mammal Foundation’s Burrunan dolphins, insights from Marine Safety Victoria, and an up-close look at Coast Guard Flotilla 22.
