The Junior Ranger program encourages kids to explore Victoria’s amazing parks with a real park ranger.

Junior Rangers can take part in cool activities like rock pool rambles, historic tours and spotlight night walks. They also have the ability to get out and about anytime they like with a range of cool Junior Ranger activities that they can download right here from the website and complete with their family and friends anytime they like.

How Can I Become A Junior Ranger?

Junior Rangers is not a club; no membership is required to take part. Junior Ranger activities are run mostly during school holidays and on some weekends.

School holidays are here, so make sure that you sign up for one of the many Junior Ranger activities on offer. You can discover marine life along the coast in Cape Conran, wildlife on Raymond Island, go on an adventure tour through Buchan or learn about the indigenous history of some of our parks along with lots of other great things!

Sign up to the Junior Ranger mailing list. By signing up to their mailing list you’ll become one of the first to know about their school holiday programs. Junior Rangers will also send you their seasonal Junior Ranger newsletter which is jam-packed with heaps of information about how to have fun in parks.

Complete a take-home activity. Looking for something to do in a park? Print out one of our activity sheets and take it out into a park to do with your family and friends.

Read and learn the Junior Ranger way. Learn how Junior Ranger’s take care of the environment and what you can do to make sure Victoria’s special places remain stay protected.

The Junior Rangers program is proudly supported by our Principal Partner, Macpac, encouraging the next generation of nature lovers
