Paynesville Music Weekend - This Weekend

Paynesville is the place to be this weekend with live music all weekend!

This year the Paynesville Music Weekend will be shaking up the town from Friday 24th February to Sunday 26th February.

The Music Festival Committee have put together a big weekend of live music at venues, cafes and restaurants featuring a huge variety of bands and musicians, ready to help you dance and sing the night away!

Even though there won’t be a main stage on Gilsenan Reserve this year, there will still be plenty of bands and musicians performing in Paynesville over the Music Weekend the last weekend in February, so come along and enjoy live music at your favourite venue and at various outdoor locations.

Always a highlight of the weekend, H2O Tours & Adventures will again host Music Cruises on board the ‘Lady Jodie’ with the Joe Cool band on Saturday and Sunday, and there will be heaps of live music on The Floating Tin Shed, at the Rotary Club Foreshore Market and at Raymond Island Ferry Park.

Most of the entertainment will be free. There will be something for everyone, including The Black Curtains,  Mike Elrington, Electric Empire, The Soultanas, Joe Cool, Stu Hughes & The Blues Cruise, Craig Atkins and more.  JUST ANNOUNCED!! – Aussie rock band ‘Things of Stone and Wood’ (Acoustic) have just confirmed they will be appearing on Sunday from 2:30pm on The Floating Tin Shed.  Don’t miss this performance!

A special highlight of the weekend for musos will be a Music Workshop presented by Music Victoria – the East Gippsland Live ‘n’ Local: Music Industry Workshop at the Yacht Club on Saturday at 11am. This free music workshop will give local musicians, bands, venues and live music businesses the opportunity to participate in discussions about what a thriving live music scene looks like for the local area. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders and council representatives.

The weekend is proudly sponsored by the fabulous Paynesville Op Shop in Wellington Street, East Gippsland Shire Council, the East Gippsland Community Foundation, Music Victoria, Captains Cove and the Paynesville Business & Tourism Association.
Without the support of our generous sponsors, the weekend wouldn’t be able to go ahead and we appreciate their support of our event.
