The Buchan Munji (Buchan Caves Reserve) will reopen to visitors ahead of the Easter long weekend following months of recovery works to safely restore the park following major flooding that hit the area on Boxing Day. The reserve will open on Tuesday 26 March 2024.

Description

Victoria’s 7 Peaks Ride is an at-your-own pace cycling challenge which run from late October to April. Taking you up winding mountain roads, around steep turns and past spectacular views right to the top of seven Victorian Alpine Resorts.

Climb out of Omeo on the Great Alpine Road, taking note to grab a breather at the Kosciuszko Lookout eight kilometres along the way. Shortly after the Lookout is something of a descent, followed by some undulating road to Cobungra Station, before you hit some serious climbing. Ride through the changing landscape of alpine ash, snowgum forest and heathland. Only 12 kilometres from Hotham, picturesque Dinner Plain village is a top spot to stay overnight.
