The Mountain Farmhouse is located in Victoria’s unique Alpine region and situated on a 1600 acre working family farm alongside the Victoria River, Cobungra.
Whether it be star gazing at night, waking up to cattle and sheep grazing outside your window on a frosty morning, relaxing by the river in Summer or hitting the slopes in Winter – a unique High Country experience is assured.
The self-contained, characterful farmhouse is well suited to families or larger groups, sleeping up to eight people but can be conveniently closed off, making it just as cosy and charming for couples.
The cottage consists of two queen bedrooms and a bunkroom sleeping four singles. A fully equipped kitchen, laundry and generous bathroom. The lounge area with wood fire includes a television, DVD’s, books, magazines, board games and toys for the kids, while outside the rear deck offers a barbecue and outdoor setting with relaxing chairs on the front verandah to soak up the morning sun.
Quiet and secluded, yet within easy proximity to the Ski Resorts of Mt Hotham (30 minutes), Dinner Plain (20 minutes) and the historic township of Omeo (20 minutes), The Mountain Farmhouse is a perfect getaway at the halfway point of the Great Alpine Road.
