Hilary Peterson, Bodies of Water and Liminal Spaces

Exhibition and shows

An exploration of the natural world using all the senses; at times as a separate observer, and at others by becoming part of the world observed.

Hilary has been a practicing artist for over twenty years combining painting, drawing, printing, dyeing and stitching. Her career began as a textile designer, and in 2002 she made the move into creative practice combining her textiles knowledge with deeper philosophical concerns around our inter-connectivity to the landscape and place.

There will be a special opening event on Friday 1 May at 5:30 pm. All are welcome.

Aerial photograph of an estuary mouth where a Gippsland Lakes meets the ocean at Lakes Entrance, featuring a sandy beach and a long sandspit - The Ninety Mile Beach. The image shows jetties extending into the sea, lush green vegetation along the shoreline, and multiple channels of blue water weaving through low-lying islands and sandbanks.
