Bruthen Community Market
Saturday 21st January 9:00am - 1:00pm
Held at the Bruthen Mechanics Hall, this is a true community market, with an eclectic mix of fresh produce, plants, locally made goods, and bric-a-brac. Unique jewellery, organic teas, natural soap, local honey, pre-loved clothing, homemade crafts, and when in season - Dargo Walnuts and Mt Markey’s Scrumpy Cider, and much more. Hungry? Try the home baked goods from the market stalls, or take a seat in the supper room for freshly made sandwiches, scones, good coffee and more. Bruthen Village Markets encourage community interaction, recycling, and environmentally friendly and organic produce and goods. We discourage plastic bags so please bring your own bags, and enjoy the variety of food, produce, craft and second-hand stalls.
Guide for stallholders:
Regular stallholders generally have priority to choose their stall sites.
Stall must not block the SES access gate at the Health Centre fence.
Vehicles must not be left parked in the access way between the hall and the Health Centre fence.
Stall holders selling from their vehicles must setup either in the yard behind the hall (preferred), or on the grass immediately in front of the hall, provided they do not obscure other stall holders, or impede the access of emergency vehicles.
Political spruiking is not allowed at the market.
The Market Committee has the right to accept/reject stallholders and stall-types (for example, poor behaviour or unsuitable stalls will not be accepted).
Bruthen is a small town located alongside the Tambo River between Bairnsdale and Ensay on the Great Alpine Road in East Gippsland, just north of Lakes Entrance.
