The Buchan Munji (Buchan Caves Reserve) will reopen to visitors ahead of the Easter long weekend following months of recovery works to safely restore the park following major flooding that hit the area on Boxing Day. The reserve will open on Tuesday 26 March 2024.

Where the Gippsland Lakes meet Bass Strait is a town built just beyond the dunes. Water flows through the veins of locals here, and you will feel it as soon as you make eye contact with the stunning panoramic entrance.

Watch the kids gaze at the shell museum, climb the lakeside playground and keep under par at one of the many mini golf courses. Learn about the wooden sculptures which lie alongside the Esplanade Walking Track and challenge the family to a paddle boat race. Take a seat at one of the waterfront cafes and watch over the fleet of colourful fishing boats, Join a guided boat tour, paddle board, kayak or Mountain bike tour or spend time splashing around in newly opened Lakes Entrance Aqua Park, a must visit for Summer. Admire the coastal scenery from the Kalimna lookout and stroll across the footbridge from the foreshore promenade to see the vast expanse of the Ninety Mile Beach.
